The Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Operations Coordinator to join our busy and growing Legal team in Vancouver. This position delivers high-quality, timely, and accurate administrative and project-related support to ensure seamless operations. The role works closely with the Legal team and business stakeholders at various levels of the company and supports a variety of legal tasks and projects across our legal operations, regulatory licensing, corporate, and commercial functions. We are looking for someone excited about the potential of new technologies, including AI, to transform the delivery of legal services and drive efficiency across the team. The initial and primary responsibilities are a generalist role involving managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the Legal team, including Commercial Contracts and Regulatory Licensing.

We seek a self-starter who can manage changing priorities, multitask on a wide variety of projects, possesses exceptional attention to detail, and is eager to learn the ins and outs of our company to drive strategic legal efforts to grow and protect our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supporting lawyers and paralegals in managing agendas, organizing meetings, booking appointments, and leveraging AI to handle administrative tasks for the Legal team.
  • Working with Finance to track legal spending, manage accruals, and external counsel invoicing, including ownership of external counsel engagements and billing using our procurement platform.
  • Supporting legal operations through development, management, administration, and improvement of various legal processes and adoption of new technology, including AI advancements.
  • Managing and supporting projects across the full range of subject matter supported by the legal team.
  • Developing and researching AI technologies to support the Legal team.
  • Planning Legal team events and creating itineraries.
  • Supporting contract management processes and tools, from drafting and negotiation through to final execution, including facilitating efficient contract signing, AI-assisted filing, and reporting capabilities.
  • Supporting Licensing to ensure timely submission of license applications in new jurisdictions and renewals.
  • Maintaining entity and key person information with regulators as required under U.S. gaming regulatory frameworks, including changes in corporate structure, executive roles, or ownership.
  • Assisting with company business license filings and annual reports.
  • Collaborating on cross-team projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Some contract reviews (e.g., NDAs) and supporting playbooks, checklists, and legal knowledge resources.
Who You Are
  • A degree or diploma in Legal Administration, Paralegal studies, or a related field, or other relevant training.
  • 3+ years of experience in a reputable law firm (corporate/commercial) and/or in-house legal department is desirable but not essential.
  • Ability to grasp and interpret legal documents.
  • A technology-forward mindset with a demonstrated passion for legal innovation; practical AI experience in a legal context is essential or highly desirable.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a high degree of accountability.
  • Resourceful, process-oriented, and solutions-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team, perform under pressure, and multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient with word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation tools. Experience with Ironclad, Google Workspace, Confluence, and Jira is an asset. Familiarity with AI-driven legal technologies for contract analysis or legal research is highly desirable.
  • Tact, integrity, and discretion; ability to handle confidential information sensitively.
Salary Range
  • 60,000 – 82,500 CAD per year
