We’re looking for a forward-thinking IT Applications Manager to lead our enterprise applications portfolio and support Durabuilt’s digital transformation journey. This is your chance to shape the technology roadmap, mentor a talented team, deliver high-impact solutions across the organization, and gain exposure to global best practices through opportunities to attend major industry conferences such as Dreamforce in San Francisco.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Lead and mentor a team of 11 IT professionals, including a tech lead, business analysts, system analysts/programmers, and support analysts.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation within the team.
  • Define and execute an enterprise applications roadmap aligned with organizational priorities and growth strategies.
  • Establish KPIs and implement best practices for development, support, and delivery.

Application Management

  • Oversee the support, development, and integration of mission-critical enterprise systems: ERP, Salesforce, HRIS, MES.
  • Ensure SLA adherence for incident response and resolution at all priority levels.
  • Oversee technical design and code reviews in partnership with the Tech Lead to maintain integrity and scalability.

Process Optimization & Innovation

  • Drive standardization of SDLC processes, release management, and support workflows.
  • Evaluate and enhance toolsets for Scrum backlog management, release planning, and support.
  • Good to have: Champion AI adoption and automation pilots across the enterprise to improve operational efficiency and user experience.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Collaborate with business leaders to understand evolving needs and align IT initiatives with strategic goals.
  • Facilitate change management efforts to ensure smooth adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party integrations to support IT strategy.
  • Support key project execution such as the implementation and preparation for a potential ERP upgrade.

Expected focus: 60% people/process/vendor, 25% roadmap/stakeholders, 15% technical governance (with the Tech Lead as day-to-day technical owner).

Technical Environment

  • ERP: Window & Doors industry-specific ERP system
  • CRM: Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Communities, custom apps)
  • Languages: .NET (primary development platform); open to modern development stacks for new initiatives
  • Databases: Microsoft SQL Server (primary), PostgreSQL (legacy)
  • Reporting Tools: SSRS, Tableau
  • Cloud Infrastructure: AWS (primary), with ongoing migration from limited on-prem servers
  • AI & Automation: ChatGPT, Microsoft Copilot, and custom bots under development
  • Upcoming Projects: Data warehousing and business intelligence initiatives are in planning stages

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 7+ years in IT application delivery, including 3+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven success managing enterprise-scale applications and technical teams.
  • Experience with SDLC methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) and setting up performance metrics.
  • Technical fluency (e.g., .NET/SQL) to read code and review designs; recent hands-on coding is a nice to have, not required.
  • Exposure to data warehousing and business intelligence concepts is an asset.
  • Strategic thinking with a results-oriented, problem-solving approach
