Job summary

Job description

All India Football Federation is looking for an experienced and talented Assistant Coach to manage our Men’s Indian National U19 Football Team. The Assistant Coach will work closely with the Head Coach to support the development and success of the U-19 Men’s Indian National Team in the upcoming SAFF U-19 Championship, and the preparation period. The Assistant Coach will assist in the development and implementation of training programs and strategies, player selection, and game plans, as well as provide feedback to individual players on their performance.

  • Base location: Football house, Sector -19, Dwarka, New Delhi
  • Remuneration Package: As per industry standards.
Key Deliverables
  • Assist the Head Coach in developing and implementing a comprehensive training program for the U-19 Men's Indian National Team.
  • Assist in the development of game plans and strategies for each game and ensure that they are communicated to the players effectively.
  • Assist Head Coach in conducting team meetings to review previous games, discuss strategies and set goals.
  • Help identify and shortlist players of the National Team squad for the SAFF U-19 Championship in coordination with the Head Coach.
  • Collaborate with other staff, including Head and other coaches, trainers, doctors, physiotherapists, and team managers, to ensure that appropriate players are selected, and the team is prepared for each game.
  • Monitor and analyse the performance of the team and individual players, providing feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Assist in the scouting of potential opponents and provide input into game planning and preparation.
  • Assist Head Coach in collaborating with physiotherapist, strength, and conditioning coach to minimise injury risks and keep players at peak performance levels for the Competition.
  • Take responsibility in creating a safe, respectful, positive, inclusive environment, creating a culture of excellence and being a role model for the team.
  • Represent the U-19 Men’s Indian National Team in an ethical, professional, and respectful manner at all times, maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders, including players, staff, fans, media, and sponsors.
Qualifications
  • AFC A Coaching Certification
  • Experience working with Junior Men's team/s
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and in an inclusive environment with other coaches, staff, and players.
  • Strong knowledge of competition rules, tactics, and strategies.
  • Languages: English and Hindi
  • Experience coaching National club team(s)
  • Languages: Other Indian languages
