Job Overview

A client-focused role committed to managing and growing client relationships through the delivery of service and advice. The role assesses individual client investment needs and provides professional, customized investment‑related advice, sales, and support. It builds client trust by educating them on investment strategies, associated risks, and performance expectations to help them achieve their financial goals. The position develops and retains long‑term relationships, delivers an exceptional client experience, and identifies referrals to other business groups. Collaboration with internal teams, market partners, and the community is essential to deliver the desired customer experience.

Responsibilities
  • Build and nurture relationships with key client influencers (COIs) and business partners in partnership with lead advisors.
  • Drive client growth objectives through proactive sales, business development, and marketing activities such as telephone prospecting, community networking, and seminars.
  • Prepare and execute client portfolio reviews, including meeting preparation, report generation, client communication, and investment research or proposal creation.
  • Advise clients on investment concepts, wealth plans, and other wealth‑management offerings, and execute recommendations in alignment with lead adviser guidance.
  • Escalate complex client situations or complaints and ensure timely, accurate, and efficient resolution.
  • Support the preparation of annual business plans, execution, and progress tracking in alignment with growth objectives.
  • Prepare financial plans to meet common goals such as retirement, while providing advice on tax efficiency, legal implications, financial impact, and fees.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to meet business objectives and manage data governance through database and analysis support.
  • Assist in creating new investment portfolios and evaluating required changes.
  • Coordinate household fee assessments and work with internal partners.
  • Run the support office efficiently, train new team members, and manage branch support staff.
  • Generate business opportunities with clients and prospects using proactive selling and marketing techniques.
  • Identify gaps, issues, and best practices by monitoring sales and service performance against plans.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to internal risk‑mitigation policies and industry regulations.
  • Think creatively, propose new solutions, and exercise judgment to solve problems within established rules.
  • Work largely independently, with the flexibility to take on broader responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and/or certification in a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge of the Canadian Securities Course and the IIROC Conduct and Practices Handbook.
  • Registered Representative (RR) status and completion of the mandatory IIROC Continuing Education Program.
  • WME certification completed within 30 months of the RR license.
  • Specialized knowledge from education or business experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, analytical, problem‑solving, and influence skills.
Compensation & Benefits

Salary: $42,500.00 – $78,900.00 (Salaried & Commission)
