The Inventory Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring Rohit Homes has the right materials, at the right time, in the right quantities to support construction schedules and operational excellence. This role blends analytics, planning, and cross‑functional coordination to reduce delays, optimize working capital, and keep our job sites moving. You will partner closely with Procurement, Construction, Site operations, and Finance to maintain accurate inventory levels, streamline material flow, and support data‑driven decision‑making. This role requires a high degree of ownership, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate issues before they impact the build cycle.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management & Accuracy
- Maintain accurate inventory levels across yards, warehouses, and job sites through regular audits and reconciliation.
- Monitor stock movements and investigate discrepancies to ensure real‑time integrity of the inventory system.
- Analyze usage patterns to identify excess, obsolete, or at‑risk inventory and recommend corrective actions.
- Track and report slow‑moving SKUs and develop action plans with Construction and Procurement.
Forecasting & Planning
- Develop short‑ and long‑term material forecasts based on build schedules, sales pace, seasonal trends, and construction start plans.
- Support Procurement with data required for negotiating supplier quantities, pricing, and replenishment cycles.
- Identify potential material shortages proactively and raise escalation flags early.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Create and maintain dashboards and reports for leadership to visualize inventory health, variances, aging, and material risks.
- Analyze historical and current data to predict material requirements and optimize reorder points.
- Generate weekly and monthly inventory performance summaries for Construction, Operations, and Finance.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work with Site Supervisors and Construction Managers to ensure material availability aligns with schedules.
- Coordinate with Finance to support month‑end processes, cost reconciliation, and inventory valuation.
- Provide insight to the Homes leadership team on inventory trends that affect cycle time, cost, and operational efficiency.
Process Improvement & Controls
- Recommend improvements to material flow, inventory controls, system configurations, and stock management procedures.
- Support ERP/WMS system enhancements, item master updates, and standard operating procedures.
- Build and maintain a culture of accuracy, accountability, and continuous improvement across inventory‑related processes.
Required – Work Experience
- 1‑3 years of experience in inventory analytics, supply chain, construction materials, home building, or manufacturing.
- Strong analytical skills with advanced Excel/Sheets skills; experience with ERP systems is an asset.
- Ability to interpret complex data to drive actionable insights.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work cross‑functionally in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- High degree of ownership, accuracy, and accountability.
