A leading educational institution in Alberta is seeking a permanent Individualized Study Tutor for Math 266 - Introduction to Calculus II. The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Mathematics (PhD preferred) and experience with adult education and online learning. Responsibilities include providing academic assistance to students and maintaining accurate records. Compensation is $243.25 for non-doctoral and $252.98 for doctoral prepared employees per block.

Athabasca University's Learning Services Tutorial Department is seeking a permanent Individualized Study Tutor for the course below.

Math 266 - Introduction to Calculus II

Qualifications and Experience Required

A minimum of a Master’s degree is required (PhD preferred) in Mathematics.

Responsibilities
  • Provide academic assistance to students, assist with assignments, and assign and record final grades.
  • Teach at a post-secondary level; experience in distance learning and familiarity with digital teaching technologies and online course delivery is preferred.
  • Experience with adult education and Brightspace online course delivery is considered an asset.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, administrative, and online/computer skills. Maintain a high academic standard and accurate student records; return students\' work promptly within the University\'s service standards.
  • Own or have access to a computer and internet with capability to communicate with the University and students and to run any applications required to perform tutorial support.
