Overview

TSG STAFFING SERVICES is recruiting for a HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER for an opportunity in the Edmonton area in a manufacturing plant environment. This is a temporary, maternity leave position.

Base pay range: CA$70,000.00 / yr - CA$80,000.00 / yr

Job Description
  • Responsible for initiating and managing the recruitment process
  • Create job offers and negotiate contracts for new hires
  • Facilitate appropriate pre-employment testing as required
  • Conduct exit interviews and performance management conversations as required
  • Maintain and administer training programs for new hires
  • Handle employee requests for leave and other benefits
  • Address employee concerns and issues and investigate complaints
  • Ensure compliance with labour law standards
  • Other HR administrative tasks as needed
Requirements
  • 10+ years of HR experience
  • HR experience in heavy industrial or trade settings is an asset
  • Knowledge of core tasks like recruitment, onboarding/offboarding, storing employee data, and addressing complaints
  • Proficiency in commonly used HR software
  • Conflict resolution and negotiation skills
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of Canadian labour laws and regulations
