Role:

The HR Administrator will provide administrative support to the plant management team, monitor attendance, maintain employee files, and ensure compliance with relevant HR policies and labor laws. Additionally, the position requires assisting in job description updates, supporting the OH&S coordinator, and ensuring consistency with the collective agreement.

Responsibilities:
  • The following list of duties and responsibilities is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties rather they are intended to only describe the nature of the Areas of responsibility:
  • Oversees Recruitment, interview, reference checks, orientation, set up of new plant employees into Dayforce.
  • Provide HR admin support to plant management Team where possible
  • Monitor and maintain attendance program, prepare letters, reports etc.
  • Assist to ensure all job descriptions are kept up-to-date, accurate and compliant with relevant laws/regulations for all positions.
  • Works closely with Plant HR Manager/Supervisor, and Corporate HR,
  • Administer and ensure consistency with CA where applicable.
  • Maintain employee files, both electronic and hard copies
  • Keep all HR related filing up to date
  • Ensures consistency of HR policies and procedures.
  • Support OH&S coordinator and claims management
  • Other duties as required.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Post-Secondary diploma in Human Resources, or business or related field preferable.
  • Minimum 2 years of related administrative experience preferred.
  • Understanding of Employment Standards/labour law an asset
  • Previous experience in unionized manufacturing work environment preferred.
  • High sense of urgency, well organized and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, time management and multi-tasking skills.
  • Highly proficient computer skills, e.g., Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, when required.
  • Previous experience with Ceridian/Dayforce an asset.

$64,000 - $69,000 a year
