Overview

Oxford Learning Halifax is currently seeking motivated part-time tutors to join our dedicated team. As a Math & Science Tutor at Oxford Learning, you will play a key role in supporting students in grades 9-12. This role is in-person so you must be able to commute to this location. Vulnerable sector screening is mandatory.

Responsibilities
  • Teaching up to 3 students at a time, following our proven teaching methodologies
  • Providing personalized instruction in a range of math and science subjects, including advanced functions, algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, chemistry, and biology
  • Filling out post-lesson notes and communicating student progress
  • Maintaining a friendly, encouraging, and professional demeanor at all times
What We\'re Looking For
  • Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in a relevant field
  • Strong math and science knowledge, aligned with the current high school curriculum
  • Prior experience coaching or tutoring math and/or science at the secondary level
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and work with students at different levels
