Position

Position: Health Care Assistant

Location: Nanaimo

Compensation: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour

Shifts: Mornings, Evenings, Nights & Weekends.

Responsibilities
  • Providing compassionate care to clients in their home setting.
  • Assisting with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and personal hygiene
  • Medication management.
  • Preparing meals and ensuring proper nutrition.
  • Assisting with light housekeeping tasks
  • Monitoring and reporting changes in clients' health and well-being
  • Companionship and engaging in meaningful activities with client.
Qualifications
  • Valid and up-to-date Health Care Assistant license or equivalent
  • A clear criminal background and vulnerable sector check
  • Reliable Transportation to work
  • Valid completion of OFA First Aid Level 1 course
  • Valid competition of FOODSAFE level 1 or equivalent
  • Compassionate, reliable, and patient demeanor
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Assets
  • Previous caregiving experience
  • Valid certifications or training in caregiving, personal support work, or related fields.
  • Valid BC drivers license
