A mental health service provider in Burnaby seeks a Shift Supervisor to oversee healthcare teams providing essential services to youth involved in the justice system. The role includes supervising staff, delivering care, and supporting youth facing mental health challenges. The Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services (YFPS) team is an established group committed to providing essential mental health services to young people involved in the justice system. This multi-disciplinary team works closely with probation services, community agencies, and contracted service providers as well as Youth Custody Services staff to deliver Court-ordered assessments. In this role you will supervise a team of Health Care Workers, Registered Psychiatric Nurses, and Registered Nurses. As the Shift Supervisor you will train and orient new hires as well as directing the delivery of comprehensive nursing services in your staff. You will also work collaboratively with YFPS partners such as Youth Justice, Youth Custody Services, and the Maples Adolescent Treatment Centre. This position gives you the opportunity to support the well-being of both the staff you supervise as well as the delivery of critical care to vulnerable youth. This position allows you to make a difference in the lives of youth experiencing behavioral issues, addictions, and mental health challenges.

This position has full-time on-site requirements.
This is a shift work position and the successful applicant will be required to work a combination of day shifts, evening shifts and/or night shifts. You will also be expected to work a rotating schedule based on operational requirements.
