Overview

Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician (NOC 22213) – Firma Contracting. Location: Saskatoon. Number of Positions: 4. Job Title: Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician.

We are looking for an experienced Geodetic Survey Technologist / Survey Technician to work in the Saskatoon area. This position supports Firma Contracting’s work in projects in Saskatchewan.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in field surveys and operate survey instruments and devices
  • Keep records, measurements and other survey information in systematic order
  • Assist in the calculation, analysis and computation of measurements obtained during field surveys
  • Assist in the preparation of detailed drawings, charts and plans
  • Work with minimal supervision and direction
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings
Qualifications
  • Completion of a geomatics diploma or a minimum of 3 years of experience is required
  • Working understanding of site hazard assessments and able to complete daily safety documentation in an accurate and timely manner
  • Be fit for duty and prepared for work each day
  • Positive attitude/ team player
  • Strong communication/ listening skills and ability to follow directions
