Overview

Are you friendly, reliable, and passionate about providing great customer service? We are looking for a Food Service Assistant to join our dedicated catering team at Loughborough College.

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy, vibrant college canteen, helping to deliver a positive dining experience for our students and staff on a temporary basis of 12 month FTC. Working as part of a team, the successful candidate will deliver an exceptional standard of customer service at all times and assist in the daily running of 1909 Shop, Box Office, or Campus Kitchen.

Responsibilities
  • Serving customers, handling cash, and maintaining kitchen standards.
  • Maintain a good awareness of food allergens and communicate regularly with the chefs about allergens and ingredients.
  • Support internal catering, stock rotation and maintaining cleanliness, kitchen hygiene and health and safety standards across all areas.
  • Hours are Monday to Friday 07:00 – 15:00 with the occasional Saturday when the college has an open day.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Experience in a similar environment (preferred).
  • Ability to work as part of a team and deliver a high standard of customer service.
  • Right to work in the country without the need for sponsorship (no skilled worker sponsorship available).
