Overview

We’re excited to partner with our client in their search for an Estimator/Production Manager to join their growing renovations team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced estimator with a background in custom homes and residential renovations who’s ready to step into a leadership role.

The successful candidate will bring at least two years of relevant estimating experience, a sharp eye for detail, and the ability to manage projects from start to finish. In this role, you’ll not only handle day-to-day estimating and procurement but also oversee design coordination, contract administration, and budget control—ensuring each renovation project is delivered with excellence.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Lead estimating and procurement, including bids, budgets, tenders, and supplier negotiations.
  • Collaborate with designers and clients to scope selections, refine designs, and guide change orders.
  • Draft and manage contracts, monitor budgets, and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Oversee project management tools, reporting, and weekly operations meetings.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to align on schedules and deliverables, while supporting marketing and community initiatives.
Education
  • Post-secondary diploma in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field an asset
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
Experience
  • A minimum of two years of relevant estimating experience is required, with at least some exposure to custom home builders or residential renovations.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, or supervising team members is essential.
  • Strong background in reading and interpreting construction drawings, specifications, and change-order documentation is required.
  • Hands-on familiarity with project management systems such as Buildertrend, along with experience negotiating with trades and suppliers, will be considered strong assets.

Additional Notes
  • This opportunity does not include relocation. It will be the responsibility of the candidate should relocation be required.
