Estimating Technician - Plans and Specifications

We’re hiring for our partner, a well-established Quebec-based manufacturer of custom metal lockers and architectural furnishings for public and private institutions across North America.

We’re looking for a Technical Estimator to analyze blueprints and specs, evaluate production costs, prepare accurate bids, and collaborate with internal teams and clients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Analyze plans & specs and identify equivalent or substitute products.
  • Research and estimate costs (materials, labor, transport, risk factors).
  • Prepare and submit detailed quotations via CRM.
  • Coordinate with clients, architects, and sales to define optimal solutions.
  • Track public bids and contribute to competitive market intelligence.

Skills and qualifications :

  • DEC in architecture, building sciences or related field

  • Proficient in Excel, CRM, Autocad/PDF, bid portals (MERX, SÉAO, etc.)
  • Bilingual (fluent in French and English, written & spoken)
