Responsibilities

  • Develop 2D AutoCAD drawings for telecom steel towers and rooftop structures.
  • Prepare connection details for welded and bolted components.
  • Produce fabrication drawings, including DXF files when required.
  • Generate Bills of Material (BOM) and material takeoffs.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers.
  • Perform self QA/QC checks for accuracy.
  • Work within project timelines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Support updates to internal design libraries and drafting standards.
  • Occasional site visits as required.

Wesbell is seeking an intermediate Engineering Detailer. This position will be responsible for 2D drafting, 3D modeling, and detailing of greenfield telecommunication towers, rooftop structures, and other structural steel and concrete projects as necessary, as well as coordination within project teams.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities Include
  • Develop 2D AutoCAD drawings for:
    • Telecom steel towers (greenfield sites)
    • Rooftop support structures
    • Steel antenna mounts and frames
    • Reinforced concrete foundations
  • Prepare connection details for welded and bolted components.
  • Produce fabrication drawings, including DXF files when required.
  • Generate Bills of Material (BOM) and material takeoffs.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project managers to address technical requirements.
  • Perform self QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Work within project timelines in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Support updates to internal design libraries and drafting standards.
  • Occasional site visits as required.
EDUCATION (THEORETICAL TRAINING)
  • Civil Engineering Technology/Technician diploma or Structural Engineering degree.
Job Requirements & Experience
  • 3–5 years of structural steel or concrete detailing experience.
  • Experience with telecom structures or similar steel detailing projects is a strong asset.
  • Strong proficiency with AutoCAD.
  • Ability to produce accurate, clean drawings with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of fabrication processes and drafting conventions.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
