A leading fertility clinic in Vancouver is looking for a Laboratory Embryologist to support the embryology area. This role will involve laboratory testing, in vitro fertilization, and managing samples in a clinical setting. Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and at least 1 year of lab experience. Previous embryology experience is preferred. Qualifications

Overview

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose, and Commitment of Olive Fertility Centre: Supporting the Embryology area of the Laboratory, and reporting to the Laboratory Director, this position is pivotal to the organization. This role focuses on clinical embryology in the field of fertility. Previous experience in Embryology is desirable but not required as training in Embryology is available for a strong candidate.

• Semen Freezing
• Thaw of Cryopreserved Sperm

Embryology

• Laboratory Testing
• Sample Accession, Identification and Labeling
• Patient Identification/Record Keeping
• Media Preparation
• Media Quality Control
• In Vitro Fertilization/ICSI
• Sperm Shuttle
• Fertilization check
• Grading Embryos
• Embryo Culture/Extended Culture
• Embryoscope
• Laser Assisted Hatching
• Trophectoderm Biopsy/Processing of cells for PCR
• Transfer, Shipping and Receiving of Frozen Embryos and Eggs
• Discard of Abnormal/Unwanted Frozen Embryos

Qualifications

Education, Training and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, or Biological Sciences from an accredited university.
• At least 1 year of laboratory experience.
• Previous embryology experience is an asset.
