Qualifications

Job description

Would you like to join a company that has been recognized as a major manufacturer of molded countertops in Quebec for over 60 years?

We are currently looking for an electromechanic to join our evening shift (4-day schedule, Tuesday to Friday).

Role & Responsibilities
Reporting to the maintenance team leader, the electromechanic inspects, repairs/adjusts, installs or replaces machinery and equipment (electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic). He acts in the service of production and ensures that the various pieces of equipment are available for production.

Main duties:

  • Ensure that production lines are operating optimally;
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and programming problems (troubleshooting);
  • Make inspection rounds and communicate/address any problems raised;
  • Plan work to be carried out and complete work orders according to tasks;
  • Analyze and submit production process improvement projects;
  • Install, replace and test machines, equipment and control systems;
  • Perform welding, painting and building maintenance as required;
  • Participate in various continuous improvement projects;
  • Perform building maintenance;
  • Initiate operation of equipment and machinery;
  • Follow preventive maintenance procedures;
  • Follow Trouble Shooting Procedures;
  • Knowledge of suppliers;
  • Inventory management procedures;
  • Production of reports.

Working conditions:
Tuesday to Friday, 3:15pm to 1:45am (4 x 10 hours)

  • Salary of $33.60/hr ($31.85/hr + $1.75/hr evening premium);
  • 1.50/hr bonus for C license;
  • 1.75/hr evening premium;
  • Progressive pay scale.

Requested skills

  • 3 years’ experience as an electromechanic;
  • Good knowledge of mechanics, electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics;
  • Knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Omron, Fanuc);
  • Proven manual dexterity;
  • Excellent problem diagnosis and solution skills;
  • Autonomous and resourceful;
  • Willingness to work overtime as required;
  • A sense of initiative;
