Qualifications

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Perform electrical installations according to safety regulations.
  • Install light fixtures, fixtures, and junction boxes.
  • Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings.

Skills

Journeyman Electrician Certificate or registered with Apprenticeship Board

Job description

Surepoint is currently hiring Electricians – All Levels at our Nisku branch.

Applicants must have a continual focus on safety, cost control and client satisfaction when performing the duties of this position. The applicant must also have an attention to detail to meet and exceed client needs and expectations, as well as the ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner. Applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of the job and exercise initiative and good judgment with the ability to multi-task. Must be willing to travel for work and be able to work extended shift structures.

Qualifications and Responsibilities
  • Journeyman Electrician Certificate or must be registered with Apprenticeship Board
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to safety procedures
  • Experience in industrial electrical work
  • Ability to work away from home
  • Ability to work off ground, with ladders, scaffolding and AWP
  • Ability to measure, cut, fab and install cable trays
  • Installation of heat trace, and heat trace components
  • Installation of light fixtures, junction boxes and miscellaneous pieces of equipment ranging in various weights from 5 lbs. to 50 lbs
  • Reads and interprets electrical, mechanical, and architectural drawings and electrical code specifications
  • Pulling cable/wire through conduits and cable trays
  • Cable glanding and Terminations
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb ladders for extended periods
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Experience with conduit bending and proper installations
