Weyerhaeuser's Engineered Lumber Products (Timberstrand® manufacturing Plant), located on the beautiful Lake of the Woods in Kenora, Ontario, is currently seeking a permanent Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor. Our plant manufactures the high‑strength engineered wood product Timberstrand® in a 24/7 operation, a non‑union manufacturing environment. Job Summary

The Electrical and Instrumentation Supervisor is actively engaged in planning and leads the daily activities of a team of Electricians, Process Control Technicians and contractors in the areas of safety, quality and maintenance of all equipment and buildings to meet the departmental and plant objectives. This is a salaried, exempt position reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensuring the safety of all associates and contractors by identifying safety issues and taking measures to proactively address concerns.
  • Leading and developing the Electrical team to ensure effective communication across & between shifts and with the production teams.
  • Participation in the planning and scheduling of Electrical work to minimize the impact on production.
  • Efficiently using reliable troubleshooting methods to ensure uptime, production volume and quality goals are achieved.
  • Effectively use training resources to maximize team technical skills.
  • Using computer-based programs to support effective prioritization of maintenance requests, manage maintenance inventory, and assign maintenance resources.
  • Leads by proactively resolving associate and contractor issues, building teamwork, and ensuring adherence to all applicable site policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a supervisory role in an industrial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, verbal and electronic communication skills.
  • Trades certification or Post‑secondary diploma in technology or engineering required.
  • A combination of suitable education and experience will also be considered.
  • Proven analytical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
  • Experience in a leadership role and using CMMS (SAP) preferred.
  • Experience with process control (PLC) is an advantage.
  • Solid computer skills in Microsoft Office including Microsoft Project.
  • Demonstrated ability to raise performance by building and maintaining positive relationships with all associates through coaching and development.
Compensation

This role is eligible for our annual merit‑increase program, and we are targeting a salary range of $94,200–$137,400 based on your level of skills, qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program, which offers a cash bonus targeting 10% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target.
