EDGE Program, Technical Sales and Consulting

Rockwell Automation\'s EDGE Technical Sales and Consulting Program is a world-class, multi-month training program consisting of a combination of sales, technical, and professional training that take place in both classroom and on-the-job settings. After completion of the program, you are placed in one of our field sales offices across Canada. This listing is for the Technology Consultant.

Associate Technology Consultant

You will respond to prospect emails, phone calls, and demo requests capability and benefits of our portfolio to customers. They are responsible for technical support in pre-sales activities for a specific range of products within a defined geography. The Technology Consultant will help with commercial marketing activities, interface with product teams, be the contact for product and quality issues, provide post sales troubleshooting when needed, and act as a local interface with Tech Support. You will be a technical resource for Rockwell Automation technology and products within their area(s) of expertise.

This role is designed for early career professionals who are recent college graduates. You will start in a formal training program. This will be followed by a rotation in our field service engineering group to allow hands-on learning, implementing applications with Rockwell products for our customers. During the formal training program you will report to the program manager, then you will transition to reporting to a domain expert manager who will coach you through your customer interactions.

The Essentials - You Will Have
  • Bachelor\'s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Legal authorization to work in the Canada is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future
  • Must be location flexible
  • Valid Canadian driver\'s license
The Preferred - You Might Also Have
  • Previous intern experience with Rockwell Automation, our Partner Network, or our customers
  • Comfortable working with a variety of individuals
  • Previous co-op or intern experience in manufacturing or customer-facing role
  • Bachelor\'s/Master\'s degree in Industrial Engineering, Industrial Distribution, Engineering Sales, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Supply Chain, or other similar, technical degrees (graduating in December 2025 or Spring 2026, or within the past 3 years from Spring 2026).
