Job summary

A local childcare provider in Chilliwack is seeking dedicated childcare workers. This full-time role focuses on developing child-care programs that support children's growth. Ideal candidates will have an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate and some experience in child care. Responsibilities include engaging children in activities and ensuring a safe environment. The position offers $36.60 hourly for 30 to 40 hours a week. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada.

Education

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
  • Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
  • Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
  • Submit written observations on children to early childhood educators or supervisors
  • Establish guidelines for behaviour
  • Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
  • Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
