Qualifications

Overview

Saatchi & Saatchi Canada is currently opening a new DevOps Engineer position to support an innovative AI initiative. This role is part of a growing teamwith immediate start dates. We are seeking a candidate with a minimum of 6 years of experience in cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices, who is passionate about automation, reliability, and enabling development teams to deliver value efficiently. A strong understanding of security, scalability, and operational excellence is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain cloud infrastructure with multi-cloud extensibility in mind.
  • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines for Java backend and React frontend applications.
  • Implement infrastructure as code for consistent, repeatable deployments.
  • Manage containerized workloads and orchestration platforms.
  • Establish monitoring, logging, and alerting strategies using cloud-native and third-party tools.
  • Implement security best practices including secrets management, IAM policies, and network security.
  • Support development teams with environment provisioning and troubleshooting.
  • Drive automation initiatives to reduce toil and improve operational efficiency.
Qualifications
  • +6 years of professional experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering.
  • Strong proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
  • Experience with containerization (Docker) and container orchestration concepts.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, Pulumi, or cloud-native equivalents).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Cloud Build, or similar).
  • Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation.
  • Understanding of networking concepts (VPCs, load balancing, DNS, firewalls).
  • Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, cloud-native monitoring, or similar).
  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Experience with GitOps workflows and version-controlled infrastructure.

  • Fully remote position; candidates must already be based in Canada and have legal work authorization in the country.
