Major Responsibilities
  • Ensure projects are designed and planned to mitigate safety and construction risks, meet stakeholder requirements, and achieve business financial objectives.
  • Review and provide feedback on the work of other design team members.
  • Authenticate technical work of others as required. Stay current on industry and professional association best practices and developments.
  • Provide coverage for Senior Engineer responsibilities if required.
  • Support Managers/Program Leads with business line responsibilities and objectives.
  • Manage all aspects of assigned projects from the initiate phase, through design, construction and project closeout.
  • Accountable for managing the cost, quality, schedule, and scope of concurrent, multi-stakeholder customer driven projects.
  • Lead design responsibilities on electrical distribution and network cable routing projects ranging from $5K to $1M.
Education Required
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer or Professional Licensee in Engineering through APEGA (The Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta).
Qualifications & Experience
  • 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills appropriate for business.
  • In-depth knowledge of technical requirements for electrical distribution design.
  • Experience in distribution and/or network cable routing and project management.
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders.

Location

This role will be part of our hybrid (home and office) workforce with office workspace located at ENMAX Place (141 - 50th Avenue SE, Calgary, AB). You will work from home on Mondays and Fridays and in the office on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday.
