Job summary

A community organization in Northwestern Ontario is looking for a reliable Custodian to maintain a clean and welcoming environment in their administration building. Responsibilities include setting up meetings, managing supplies, and performing outdoor maintenance tasks. Qualifications

  • Need to manage inventory and shopping for supplies.

Overview

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment within our administration building.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment of the administration building
  • Utilize a daily check list to ensure all tasks are completed
  • Set up and clean up of all meetings and scheduled programming including audio and visual equipment when needed
  • Maintain inventory of all cleaning supplies and banquet equipment
  • Shopping for supplies when needed
  • Outdoor maintenance of all band buildings – seasonal tasks include snow removal, salt & sanding all entrances/exits, grass cutting and weed trimming/removal
  • Minor repairs and maintenance within building i.e. change filters for heating and cooling units
  • Be onsite for after hour events when requested or on an as-needed basis

  • Able bodied (the ability to move heavy items if necessary)
  • Valid Driver’s License and/or access to transportation
