Creative Director, Copy

Reporting into the NA CCO at Hudson Rouge, the Creative Director provides creative leadership on agency accounts to represents the clients effectively in the marketplace. The successful candidate will contribute to the maintenance and growth of a strong, mutually profitable client/agency relationship. Ideally you are a hands-on leader who brings experience from working in the automotive category and additionally experience with luxury clients is a definite asset as well. Bilingualism in French, while not mandatory would also be a strong asset too.

Responsibilities
  • Originate fresh, innovative creative ideas quickly for all budget and funnel levels -- acting as a hands-on creative as well a creative leader for the team too.
  • Translate ideas across various media (TV, Digital, Social, Experiential, Branded Content, Print and CRM).
  • Effectively utilize assets created for other markets so they are adapted seamlessly for the Canadian market
  • Ensure the quality of work produced is in line with agency and client expectations.
  • Serve as a positive and inspiring example to more junior creative team members.
  • Work with all departments in a collaborative, mutually respectful manner.
  • Work on new business development.Be responsible for ideas and creative work, and competently present pitches.
  • Recommend measures to improve work process methods and quality of product.
  • Maintain and support all company standards.
  • Be nimble and flexible, performing other duties and projects as assigned.
  • An outstanding portfolio that showcases highly conceptual abilities, along with the high-end production experience necessary for luxury brands.
  • Impeccable writing skills with a love for story telling evident in your work
  • An ability to professionally engage with and embrace feedback from clients.
  • Strong presentation skills with the ability to persuade.
  • Experience leading projects and teams
  • The desire and ability to work collaboratively with a small team.
  • Experience with automobile or luxury/premium brands necessary.
  • TV experience is necessary as is experience across other disciplines (e.g. Digital, Experiential, Branded Content, Social, Print and CRM) too.
  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
