Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Prep Cook to join our production team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and quality. As a Cook, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with meal preparation, ensuring that ingredients are ready for cooking, following standardized recipes, cooking following food safety guidelines and regulations and supporting the overall efficiency of our food service operations.

Credentials/Qualifications:

  • Culinary Arts Diploma
  • Current Food Handler certification and maintains valid certification throughout employment

Responsibilities

  • Prepare ingredients for cooking by washing, chopping, and measuring food items.
  • Follow standardized recipes and production numbers
  • Assist in menu planning and recipe development as needed.
  • Ensure all food is prepared in accordance with established recipes and standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including proper storage of food items.
  • Follow all food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure safe food handling practices.
  • Collaborate with chefs and other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation.
  • Participate in catering events as required, assisting with setup and serving as needed.
  • Utilize knife skills effectively for efficient meal preparation.

Skills
