Job description

Overview

NIACON is currently seeking a Site Superintendent to join their Construction Team. The successful applicant will report directly to the Project Manager and will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner, while maintaining good relationships with the client and subcontractors. The Site Superintendent is responsible for the management of all on-site construction workers and enforcement of all safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Open and close site daily
• Participate in project kickoff meetings to review scope of work for risks and opportunities
• Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and procedures along with NIACON's safety policy and procedures
• Direct all site personnel
• Coordinate all trade contractors
• Ensure high standards of workmanship and efficiency. Ensure the safe and efficient use of labor, machines and materials used by the crew.
• Assist with project cost control as requested by PM
• Assist PM with developing, monitoring, and updating overall project schedule
• Prepare 4-week lookahead
• Direct operations to achieve project schedule
• Assist PM with monthly project audits
• Maintain site records in accordance with NIACON standards
• Organize regular trade meetings and safety meetings, document and distribute through Procore
• Maintain daily job site diary in Procore
• Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
• Representation of NIACON during MOL site visits
• Maintain a safe, organized, clean and happy site

Qualifications

Prior Related Experience :

Minimum of 5 years' experience supervising construction in the ICI sector
