Overview

Part Time - 16 hours per week - £10,273 per annum (pro rata for part time)

Full Time - 40 hours per week - £25,683 per annum

We are on the hunt for enthusiastic, positive, and energetic people who thrive on creating moments that guests will remember long after they leave. We are looking for a Concierge, who will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests. This will be a hybrid role between porter and concierge, ensuring our guests are looked after from the moment they arrive to the minute they depart.

Responsibilities
  • Greet the guests at the entrance of Rudding Park creating a memorable experience from when they first arrive.
  • Regular walk rounds of the Resort internally and externally to check on cleanliness, be visible to our guests and offer assistance when required.
  • Assist guests with luggage and ensure the luggage arrives in the guests bedrooms in a timely manner.
  • Ensure guests luggage is stored efficiently when required.
  • Show our guests to their bedrooms and explain points of interest and bedroom facilities.
  • Collect guests luggage from rooms on the day of the guest's departure, ensuring it is loaded into the guest's cars in a timely manner.
  • Valet park and retrieve guests cars as and when required.
  • Assist guests with arranging transport and route planning.
  • Delivery of newspapers to the lodges and hotel bedrooms.
  • Show lodge arrivals to the lodge and explain facilities.
  • Have varied knowledge of the local area to support guests needs.
  • Always aim to go above and beyond for our guests.
  • Ensure grooming standards are impeccable at all times.
  • Offer information about Resort facilities and make reservations for our guests.
  • Champion Guest Gossip and ensure that all bits of information regarding a guest is placed on their profile.
  • Have knowledge of our internal systems.
  • Ensure that all public areas are of the standard expected undertaking any housekeeping duties as required.
  • Provide support to other Resort outlets during busy periods.
  • Be responsible for knowing what is going on in the business day ensuring that you are aware of what guests are coming in, what events are taking place at Rudding Park.
  • Ensure that guest requests are carried out at all times in a timely manner.
  • On arrival on your shift, read the function sheets, fact sheet, memo file.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Someone with a passion for people who has the ability to champion exceptional service.
  • Awareness and sensitivity to different cultures and languages of our guests.
  • Personal resilience, in terms of stamina and ability to handle occasional challenging situations with calmness and diplomacy.
  • Composure, good judgement and a welcoming smile.
  • A minimum of 1 year's previous experience in a hospitality hosting position or a porter role who enjoys being people focused is preferred.
  • Previous guest relations or guest service experience is preferred.
  • Highly experienced in providing exceptional guest service, and will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the local area.
  • Able to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 10 pounds without assistance.
  • You must be fully conversant in English.
  • It is a requirement that you are 25 years of age or older and have a clean full UK driving licence. These are required as part of the role will include parking guest vehicles, chauffeuring guests to other areas within the hotel grounds and the local area.

  • Enhanced pay - 50p per hour for evening work after 7pm (Sunday - Thursday), £1 per hour for weekend day work until 7pm (Saturdays and Sundays), £1.50 per hour for evenings from 7pm (Friday and Saturdays).
  • Service Charge (Tronc) earn up to an additional £5,000 per year.
