The Jewel of the North, Slave Lake is a progressive, dynamic tourist hub and one of Canada's ten youngest communities. Gorgeous, Lesser Slave Lake Provincial Park is just 15 minutes away! As the successful candidate, you will gain high-caliber experience in Lab and DI. You will have the opportunity to work simultaneously in both disciplines. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, APL currently has a Remote Retention Allowance in place to an annual maximum of $3,000. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

Description

As a Combined Laboratory and X-Ray Technologist I, you will perform procedures in both the laboratory and in diagnostic imaging, typically in rural sites. You will work as a member of the inter-professional team and be responsible for collecting and analyzing biological specimens, conducting X-ray examinations, ECGs and reporting results. Your responsibilities include preparing patients, venipuncture and micropuncture, routine equipment maintenance, maintaining supplies and performing quality control procedures.

Qualifications

  • Additional Required Qualifications: Previous experience with Vitros XT, Access II, Sysmex, Triage, iSTAT, EPIC & phlebotomy skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications: As Required.
