Overview

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer in Finland.

We are looking for a Cloud Platform Engineer to operate and continuously evolve a modern AWS landing zone that underpins a large-scale cloud migration. In this role, you will build and maintain a secure, automated, and scalable platform that enables multiple teams to onboard workloads efficiently. You will own shared infrastructure services and ensure platform standards are consistently applied across environments. Working closely with security and migration teams, you will balance speed, reliability, and cost control. This role offers strong technical ownership, long-term impact, and the opportunity to shape self-service cloud capabilities in a fully remote European setup.

Accountabilities

• You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the cloud platform that supports mission-critical workloads, with a focus on automation, security, and scalability.
• Operate and evolve an AWS multi-account landing zone serving as the foundation for cloud migrations.
• Manage shared infrastructure services including networking, IAM, logging, and monitoring in line with defined platform standards.
• Embed security and compliance controls directly into the platform in collaboration with security teams.
• Support cost visibility, governance, and optimization across multiple AWS accounts.
• Design and implement automation and self-service capabilities to accelerate workload onboarding for migration teams.

Requirements

• The ideal candidate combines strong AWS platform expertise with a security-conscious and automation-driven mindset.
• 5+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering or Site Reliability Engineering roles.
• Hands-on experience with AWS multi-account architectures and landing zone patterns.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance requirements, and cost optimization best practices.
• Familiarity with operating systems and VMware-based workloads commonly involved in cloud migrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in distributed teams.
