  • Position: Security Guard
  • Site: Various
  • Status: Casual
  • Hours: Various Shifts
  • Pay Rate: $18.35/hour
  • Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hour
  • Posting Date: January 20th, 2026
  • Internal Closing Date: January 27th, 2026
  • External Closing Date: January 31st, 2026
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist visitors and employees during crisis and contact necessary emergency services as needed
  • Ensure that the property is safe by ensuring all security measures are functioning properly
  • Enthusiastically conduct proactive patrols (exterior and interior), address policy breaches, and note facility concerns
  • Attend and investigate security alarms and emergencies in a timely and professional manner to prevent panic among the public
  • De-escalate crisis situations, provide support, and liaise with emergency personnel including police, fire, and paramedic resources
  • Handle Lost & Found items and inquiries
  • Provide first aid and medical response when required to any person
  • Maintain positive and constructive relationships with The Client's staff and external clients by providing timely and accurate support as required
  • Perform duties and tasks assigned by the Security Leadership team and respond to the directions of the client
Prerequisites
  • Valid Security License for the province of Ontario
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C from a WSIB approved provider
  • English (oral and written) fluency is a must
  • Applicants who do not possess these certifications can opt into Paladin's Use of Force (UOF)/Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certification program prior to onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
  • Legally authorized to work in Canada

Please be aware: The UOF/MOAB certification is not paid as it is a pre-employment requisite; however, Paladin will cover all the costs of the certifications with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability.
