Our client, an international mining equipment manufacturer, is seeking a Casual Receptionist/Administrative Assistant to provide coverage during periods of vacation or absenteeism at their office location in Thornbury, ON. The position is casual, Monday to Friday, no weekends, with a starting wage of $19.00.

About the Role

The selected candidate will be responsible for greeting all visitors in a professional manner and handling basic reception activities such as routing calls, emails, and providing clerical support to different departments as required.

  • Greeting, assisting, and responding appropriately to visitors
  • Answering incoming telephone calls and providing appropriate response or redirection to the appropriate staff
  • Opening, sorting, logging, and distributing electronic, internal and external mail to various departments
  • Receiving and entering data, modifying, processing, and compiling information
  • Maintaining office records and files, both physical and electronic
  • Providing administrative support for special projects as required
  • Attending meetings as assigned
  • Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of experience in a receptionist/administrative role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency with data entry and reports
  • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Suite
