Job duties:

  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweightsteeland other materials
  • Build foundations, install floor beams, laysubflooring,and erect walls and roof systems
  • Fit and install doors, stairs, moulding and hardware
  • Maintain,repair,and renovate residences and wooden structures as per job requirement
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawing and sketches todeterminespecifications and calculaterequirements
  • Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes using measuring tools
