6-month Business Analyst contract role on a growing digital delivery team within an enterprise organization.

• 6-month contract Business Analyst role.

• Primarily on site work available in downtown Vancouver, 4 days a week in office.

What & Why

As a result of growth within their digital delivery team our client is looking to add a business analyst to their team. This is a highly technical Business Analyst role focused on integrating internal systems with international third-party marketplaces across EME and APAC regions. You'll act as a systems analyst, building requirements for backend integrations that connect internal systems with aggregator platforms and individual marketplaces such as Zalando, Rakuten and others. The work is less about customer-facing features and more about solving complex edge cases like partial returns, canceled orders, promotion stacking, gift card applications where each marketplace has bespoke requirements. In this role you can expect deep integration work using protocols like Apigee and Kong, cross-time zone collaboration, and a role where 30% of the work is figuring out one-off marketplace quirks.

They are located close to rapid transit in newly renovated offices in downtown Vancouver and this role will be hybrid in office 3 days a week.

You

You will bring the following education, skills and experience to the role:

• 5+ years of Business Analyst experience within eCommerce, specifically working with third-party international marketplaces (EME, APAC regions preferred).
• Strong systems integration background, with experience connecting internal platforms to external aggregators and marketplace systems (backend protocols like Apigee, Kong, or similar).
• Proven ability to solve complex edge cases and bespoke requirements, including handling returns, cancellations, promotions, and multi-system workflows across different marketplace models.
• Experience translating business strategy into technical requirements for medium to large initiatives, working closely with Product Managers, Architects, and Technology teams.
• Familiarity with international marketplace platforms such as Zalando, Rakuten, Lazada, The Iconic, or similar aggregator-based eCommerce ecosystems would be considered an asset.

Compensation

This role pays between $55-68 per hour.
