NOTICE: TOURISM KINGSTON OPENS APPLICATIONS FOR A NEW BOARD MEMBER. Are you a strategic thinker who wants to positively impact one of Kingston’s major economic drivers? Applications for a three-year position on the Tourism Kingston Board of Directors are now being accepted. Tourism Kingston seeks to appoint one board member to help elevate and advance the organization’s strategic objectives. Tourism Kingston is seeking an individual with experience in travel trade, sport and wellness, and/or attractions.

Responsibilities of the Board

The members of the Board of Directors are the fiduciaries who guide the organization’s future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance, and financial management policies. In addition, the board ensures that the para-municipal organization has adequate resources to advance its vision. Working in collaboration with key partners such as the City of Kingston, Kingston Economic Development Corporation, Kingston Accommodation Partners, RTO 9, and the Downtown Kingston! BIA, and others is essential to Tourism Kingston’s mandate and impact.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience in travel trade, sport and wellness, and/or attractions.
• Residence in Kingston (applications are open to all residents of Kingston).
