A leading transportation company in Montreal is seeking an Officer for Transportation Training and Development. This role ensures employees meet regulatory standards and involves evaluating performance, providing training, and supporting the recruitment process. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of railway experience, be fluent in English and French, and possess a High School Diploma. The position offers a dynamic working environment with a mix of office and outdoor responsibilities, including occasional travel. Competitive compensation is available.
The Officer, Transportation Training and Development – Field is responsible for acting as a safety leader for employees. The role ensures employees are trained to perform regulatory standards enabling the efficient delivery of goods to CN’s customers.
The role is performed in a combination of office and outdoor environments in various weather conditions. The role has irregular work hours including nights, weekends, and holidays to support the demands of the business. The role requires occasional travel (up to 50%) in the field to deliver trainings.
Railway Experience
*Any skills/attributes for these above would be considered as an asset
Knowledge of change management best practices
Strong knowledge of the Transportation department and field operations
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Proficient with internal applications such as Systems, Applications and Products (SAP)
Fluently Bilingual, both written and verbal (English, French)
