Bemac Collision Group has supported Ottawa drivers for over 60 years, offering quality craftsmanship and award-winning customer experience. We are looking for an Automotive Service Technician.
Responsibilities
- Keep shop and work areas clean
- Service and repair customer vehicles
- Provide estimates for tire and parts replacement on vehicles
- Keep oil and all chemicals stocked
- Keep inventory of all shop supplies up to date and stocked
- Perform and inspect vehicles for Ontario Safety Inspection
- Report any issues to the Mechanical Supervisor
- Complete estimate sheet (SOP) for body shop collision estimates and email them to appropriate personnel
- Keep equipment available for use by inspecting and testing vehicles; completing preventive maintenance such as engine tune-ups, oil changes, tire rotation and changes, wheel balancing, and replacing filters
- Maintain vehicle functional condition by listening to operator complaints; conducting inspections; repairing engine failures; repairing mechanical and electrical systems malfunctions; replacing parts and components
- Verify vehicle serviceability by conducting road tests, adjusting controls and systems
- Comply with provincial vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards
- Maintain vehicle records by recording service and repairs
- Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs
- Contain costs by using warranty; evaluating service and parts options
Requirements
- Bilingual French and English
- Automotive Service/Mechanical experience
