Overview

What is the opportunity?

The Group Risk Management -Balance Sheet and Liquidity Risk (GRM-BSLR) is a second line of defense team that oversees Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP) activities. The role involves providing oversight for FTP practices, specifically within Capital Markets, as part of the GRM-BSLR mandate, with a focus in the Combined US Operations (CUSO).

Responsibilities
  • Support with all FTP-oversight related matters, especially for the wholesale book.
  • Assist in assessing the risk of FTP adjustments within Capital Markets to reflect appropriate risk considerations.
  • Evaluate FTP risks and implications for new or modified Capital Markets products, ensuring alignment with enterprise policies and frameworks.
  • Contribute to the development and oversight of FTP methodologies and allocation processes.
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Finance and other GRM areas to ensure consistent and risk sensitive application of FTP.
  • Prepare materials and analysis for internal committees and senior management related to FTP topics.
  • Monitor and report on the impact of FTP changes of assumptions.
  • Stay current on industry practices and regulatory expectations related to FTP.
What do you need to succeed?

Must-to-have:

  • Strong understanding of FTP concepts, especially as they relate to Capital Markets.
  • 5 + years of experience in Capital Markets, Treasury, Risk or Finance functions within a large financial institution.
  • Knowledge of trading products and associated funding and liquidity considerations.
  • Familiarity with FTP methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proficiency in MS Office suit.
  • Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence cross functional stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills in managing multiple deliverables independently.

Nice-to-have:

  • CPA, CFA or other relevant designations are considered assets.
