Assembler

Summary of the role

The assembler assembles aircraft interiors and/or parts, such as cabins, bins, galleys, lavatories and sidewalls etc. and builds sub-assemblies for the completion of aircraft interior structures, and/or parts using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications.

Tasks of the role
  • Builds sub-assemblies of parts and structures, aircraft components, such as aluminum extrusions, fiberglass laminates and various materials.
  • Fills and seals surfaces as required according to established specifications or customer limitations.
  • Installs trim and applies lamination material.
  • Assembles sub-components of structures or units.
  • Assembles aircraft structures and units, such as: Binds and secures subcomponents to structure or unit.
  • Attaches operating equipment, plumbing and some electrical components.
  • Handles and moves raw material and fabricated parts with care to ensure integrity and quality are not compromised during handling.
Job Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience: 0-3 years' related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Other Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings is preferred.
