Position

Agro Equipment Operator

Term

This is a temporary contract for approximately 9 months

Casual

Less than 24 hours per week

Availability

Weekdays

Responsibilities
  • Operate equipment such as Floaters, Sprayers, and Loaders safely and efficiently
  • Provide outstanding customer service
  • Process accurate paperwork in a timely manner, also maintain and protect the assets of Central Alberta Co‑op
  • Be familiar with and adhere to Central Alberta Co‑op policies and procedures
  • Be familiar with and adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure that all equipment is operated in a safe and responsible manner and constantly be alert for unauthorized removal of merchandise
  • Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and supervisors
  • Prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • Report incidents and concerns to the supervisor promptly
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Qualifications
  • High School diploma is preferred
  • Must provide an acceptable driver's abstract upon hire
  • Class 3 Driver's License with air brake endorsement is preferred
  • Wheel loader and Floater operator experience is an asset
  • Experience in customer service is preferred
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Knowledge of Central Alberta and surrounding area to successfully navigate is an asset
  • Experience with Viper GPS systems is an asset
  • Applicators licence required for Sprayer operator
  • Working knowledge of Ag. Equipment is a requirement
