A leading health services organization is seeking an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker to deliver community-based services for individuals with chronic addiction and severe mental illness. This role involves supporting clients in daily, recreational, and educational activities while working collaboratively with other health service providers. As an Addiction and Mental Health Recovery Worker, you will contribute to the delivery of community based services to persons with a chronic addiction and/or severe and persistent mental illness using psychosocial rehabilitation principles, promoting client respect, autonomy, health and improved quality of life. Your duties will include carrying out assigned tasks in a client focused recovery plan which includes support to participate in activities of daily living, recreational and social activities, and educational and employment activities. You will work collaboratively with other health and service providers. In this position, you will work under the direction of a regulated health provider.
Completion of diploma from a post-secondary program in a related field or equivalent.
