Job summary

A recruiting firm in York Region is seeking a Financial Analyst with a strong accounting background. The role involves supporting accounts receivable and payable, preparing journal entries, and assisting with bank reconciliations. Candidates should have proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with Sage 300 considered an asset. The pay range is $28-$30 per hour. Only candidates in the Greater Toronto Area will be considered.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of various Canadian Provincial tax rates such as HST and GST is a plus.
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines.

About the Opportunity

Specific duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Provide back up to Accounts Receivable & Collections in collections, invoicing, payment application and responding to customer inquiries
• Provide back up to Accounts Payable in processing recurring payables such as utilities, telephone, etc.
• Prepare and post journal entries in the ERP system
• Update reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Assist with bank reconciliations
• Review company credit card transactions and determine proper coding of expenses
• Provide support for ERP improvement projects

About You

• Diploma, Degree or Certificate in Accounting preferred
• Prior experience in financial analyst role or accounts receivable related role
• Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
• Previous experience with Sage 300 (Accpac) and Sirius considered an asset
• Familiarity with various Canadian Provincial tax rates such as HST and GST tax rates
• Strong analytical and communication skills
• Ability to manage time effectively and meet strict deadlines

Pay Range

$28- $30 per hour
