Purpose of the Role

The Accountant supports the Corporate Finance Team by managing core accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial records, and contributing to both routine and complex financial processes. This role acts as a key resource for transactional accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting, while also assisting with process improvements and supporting audits.

This is a hybrid role based in our Vancouver office.

Core Responsibilities
  • Perform full‑cycle accounting for various corporate entities and ensure accurate and timely month‑end reporting.
  • Reconcile bank statement lines and code appropriately based on nature of transactions.
  • Create invoices for management fees for related entities and manage accounts receivable cycle.
  • Calculate recoveries for salary, overhead and other expenses.
  • Calculate and enter revenue entries including management fees and insurance revenue.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly pro‑formas and other month‑end working papers and journal entries.
  • Maintain and reconcile accounts, including clearing accounts, prepaids, and fixed assets.
  • Troubleshoot advisor data integration issues with cross‑functional departments.
  • Support the allocation of advisor, contractor, and third party compensation according to fee agreements and BCSC/VAT compliance.
  • Prepare working paper for corporate GST returns.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 3‑5 years of related accounting experience.
  • Progress toward CPA designation is preferred.
  • Experience with full‑cycle accounting and financial statement preparation.
  • Familiarity with IFRS and ASPE.
  • Experience with Workday Finance, Workday Adaptive Planning, and SAP Concur is considered an asset.
  • High proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Compensation & Benefits Package

This position comes with a base salary range of $68,000 - $78,000 plus a competitive performance bonus, RRSP contribution and participation in our profit‑sharing program. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, skills, and qualifications.
