ACCOUNTANT - CANADA - CANADIAN CITIZEN

Based in-office – in Sudbury/Ontario (Not Hybrid)

Canadian citizen

CAD 105,000 per annum

A supplier to the mining industry is recruiting an Accountant with a CPA certification (NOT NEGOTIABLE) + a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting (NOT NEGOTIABLE) . The incumbent will report to the Finance Manager and will provide financial support to the business and enable decisions through accurate, reliable and timeously available financial information. This is a Sudbury work-from-office only position.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:

Reporting and Cashflow Forecasting

Balance Sheet Management

Control Environment

Financial Business Partner

Budgeting

IMPORTANT REQUIREMENTS:

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Finance/Accounting (NOT NEGOTIABLE)

2. Certification/s: Certified Public Accountant (NOT NEGOTIABLE)

3. Knowledge: IFRS, Tax, Compliance

4. Must already be based in the Sudbury area

5. 3 to 5 years demonstrated experience in financial management

6. At least 3 years demonstrated experience in people management

7. Two years demonstrated post articles experience in a similar role.

8. Advantageous (BUT NOT ESSENTIAL): 2 years demonstrated experience in multi-national and multi currency environment.

9. Experience in the mining/manufacturing industries is preferred

REQUIRED SKILLS

Advanced financial skills and demonstrated experience.

Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills

Ability to deal with complex reconciliation processes.

Interpretation and analysis of financial statements and management accounts

Demonstrated experience in business planning.
