The Role

Andela is seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Account Executive to join our growing Managed Solutions team. You will drive revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities with clients seeking software development, AI, and app development solutions. You will be a key player in expanding Andela's market presence, helping companies execute on strategic priorities while providing technical consultation and building trust with insights and honesty.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and contract signing.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Andela's talent offerings, particularly in software development, AI, and app development, to articulate value propositions to prospective clients.
  • Clearly communicate how Andela's solutions address client needs, with an understanding of technical requirements and project scopes.
  • Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within target organizations via a consultative approach.
  • Orchestrate seamless hand-offs from the SDR team and conduct technical discovery to determine right-fit before engaging additional resources.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, SDR, Delivery, Legal, Ops, and Talent Experience to ensure successful projects and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data in the CRM (Salesforce).
  • Participate in team meetings, sales training, and industry events to stay informed and improve sales skills.
  • Take personal ownership of results and contribute to the growth of the Managed Solutions team and Andela.
  • Partner with clients across Enterprise, mid-market, and SMB segments, gaining exposure to diverse business needs and sales cycles.
Preferred Qualifications (Not All Required)
  • Proven track record in B2B technical sales, consistently exceeding targets.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience selling complex software development, AI products, or app development services/solutions.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and curiosity for emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and various technological stacks.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills; ability to articulate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment.
  • Strong negotiation and closing skills.
  • Comfort in a startup environment with fast pace and disciplined time management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation

This role offers a competitive pay mix with a 60/40 split:

  • Base Salary (U.S.): $85,000 – $90,000 annually
  • Variable Compensation (Commission at Target): $60,000 annually
  • On-Target Earnings (OTE): $145,000 – 150,000 annually
