Permanent position located in Curitiba-PR (Brazil)
Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be responsible for monitoring and developing the customer portfolio and guaranteeing that customer orders are carried out correctly.
Your missions:
- Monitoring and developing the customer portfolio:
- Analyzing markets to determine sales development opportunities:
- Performing market research to identify trends, monitoring competitors, the economic and political environment, prices, and health and regulatory watch.
- Prospecting and acquiring new customer accounts according to priorities defined within the sales policy framework:
- Identifying key representatives within the markets and sourcing new ones.
- Contacting key representatives within the markets (phoning, appointments with customers), identifying their needs, and presenting the product line.
- Faithfully representing the company's brand image and developing selling points jointly with the technical department.
- Identifying national/international events (trade shows, exhibitions, etc.) for the company and customers and attending these events to showcase the company.
- Monitoring the current portfolio:
- Going on business rounds to visit customers and prospective customers.
- Building customer loyalty by guaranteeing customer satisfaction (customer relations, monitoring correct implementation of contracts, processing complaints, etc.).
- Anticipating customers' needs and providing appropriate solutions.
- Proposing a development strategy, validating this with management, and implementing it.
- Establishing the characteristics of new products and adapting existing products.
- Monitoring application of sales contracts.
- Continually analyzing the competition and optimizing partnerships (suppliers, carriers, etc.) in conjunction with dedicated supporting departments.
- Negotiate:
- Negotiating and preparing sales contracts.
- Following the Sales and Operations Planning (SOP).
- Preserving margins.
- Negotiating prices and payment terms.
- Identifying sales negotiation opportunities.
- Anticipating problems that could adversely affect negotiations.
- Guaranteeing that customer orders are carried out correctly:
- Identifying logistical solutions that are adapted to customer requirements.
- Following orders (from the negotiation stage up to the receipt of payment).
- Handling disputes jointly with the quality department.
- Monitoring logistical costs.
- Proactively managing inventories (where applicable).
- Cash Flow/Payments:
- Identifying and processing payment risks within the market.
- Defining suitable payment terms according to customer issues.
- Verifying customers' solvency and payment insurance coverage.
- Monitoring Letters of Credit with the Cash Flow department and the customer (according to the country).
- Interfacing with credit management.
- Reports:
- Preparing sales reports on the business line/market.
- Preparing customer call or business round reports.
- Updating Customer Relationship Management (CRM).
Your profile:
- Animal Nutrition, Zootechnician, Veterinarian or Agronomy.
- Minimum 2 years of successful experience in sales of specialty animal feed ingredients.
- You speak intermediate English.
- Business and results-oriented.
