We are seeking a detail-oriented and process-driven Can we make this Accountant with a strong work ethic and leadership capabilities to join our hiring partner's team. The ideal candidate will have experience in senior living accounting and a passion for delivering excellent customer service. This role will involve overseeing staff accountants and accounts payable coordinators, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the financial operations of our clients.

• Financial Reporting: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements.

• Account Reconciliation: Perform regular account reconciliations and ensure accuracy in all financial records.

• Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor and report on variances.

• Leadership: Supervise and mentor staff accountants and accounts payable coordinators, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

• Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of financial operations.

• Customer Service: Provide exceptional support to senior living operators, addressing their accounting and financial inquiries promptly and professionally.

• Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. Stay updated on industry regulations and standards.

• Multi-entity Management: Handle financial operations for multiple senior living communities, including managing different entities and bank accounts.

• Client Portfolio Management: Own relationships with a portfolio of communities, being responsible for their income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and accounts payable.

• Fluent proficiency in English (both written and verbal).

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• CRC (Conselho Regional de Contabilidade) certification.

• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a senior living environment preferred (not a must, but a nice-to-have!).

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Proficient in accounting software (ideally Sage Intacct) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

• Exceptional customer service mindset.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.

• Experience with multi-entity accounting preferred.

• US company experience is a plus.

• This position can be remote, in-person, or hybrid, offering flexibility to suit the candidate's preferences and needs.
