A global support provider is seeking an experienced Regulatory Research Analyst to conduct remote research on trade regulations across LATAM and North America. This role involves monitoring legislative changes, ensuring compliance for global clients, and interpreting legislative amendments to help maintain accurate SAP GTS systems. Candidates should possess strong analytical skills and have over 5 years of experience in regulatory research. The position offers flexibility with a 100% remote work environment.

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Research Analyst to join the Tax & Regulations team of a global independent support provider. This fully remote role focuses on researching and tracking global trade regulations —primarily across LATAM and North America—and contributing insights that help keep SAP GTS systems up to date for global clients. The analyst will act as the first point of contact for new legal and regulatory changes and work closely with Business Analysts and ERP / GTS specialists. Client interaction is minimal; the role is primarily research-oriented.
Monitor and maintain up-to‑date awareness of legislative and regulatory changes in assigned countries using government websites, agencies, third‑party sources, and in‑country experts.
Track global trade compliance regulations, including customs duties, export controls, sanctions, tariff updates, and other relevant requirements across jurisdictions (U.S., Canada, LATAM, etc.).
Interpret, analyze, and document new or amended legislation in an internal repository with high accuracy and clarity.
Prepare comparative analyses of regulatory changes when required.
Ensure research and documentation meet ISO process standards.
Deliver clear summaries and detailed regulatory insights needed by ERP and product specialists to implement system changes for clients.
Collaborate with Business Analysts and fellow researchers to validate findings and maintain consistency.
Support research expansion into Indirect Tax topics (VAT, GST, country‑specific filing requirements) where applicable.
Bilingual : English + one LATAM language (Spanish or Portuguese).
5+ years of professional experience in tax, global trade, or international regulatory research.
Working knowledge of SAP GTS or similar trade compliance systems.
Familiarity with international trade laws and frameworks (EAR, ITAR, EU Dual Use, WCO, etc.).
Strong research, analytical, and documentation skills with excellent attention to detail.
Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and handle multiple tasks under pressure.
Strong internet‑based research capabilities and proficiency in business applications (Microsoft Office, Google tools, SharePoint, etc.).
Experience compiling complex regulatory information into clear, actionable summaries.
Technical understanding of SAP ERP tax / accounting workflows (advantageous, not mandatory).
Familiarity with tools like Excel, PDF generation, ABBYY FineReader, Deepl, Inoreader, Beyond Compare (training provided).
Self‑starter with strong initiative, resourcefulness, and team‑oriented mindset.
Additional background in finance or tax is a plus.
Work remotely while contributing to high‑impact global compliance research.
Collaborate with a diverse international team of trade and tax experts.
Play a key role in helping global clients stay compliant with rapidly evolving regulations.
