About the Role & Team
As a Senior Analyst Accounting Operations, you will be responsible for completing a range of tax accounting activities and tasks resulting in the presentation of tax declarations. These activities will include calculating, preparing the payment slips, delivering the ancillary obligations. Keep close relationship with Tax and AP central team. Support business area on tax business cases.
What You Will Do
- Prepare the calculation of ICMS, ICMS-ST, IPI, PIS, COFINS, ISS, FUST, FUNTTEL and submission of ancillary obligations such as Gia, Sped-Fiscal, EFD Contribuições, DCTF, DIRF among others, and Withheld Taxes (IRRF, PCC, ISS and INSS).
- Prepare the payment slips (DARF, DARE, DARJ and etc.) and liaise with SITA central tax payment team.
- Control tax credit balances (accumulated balance), and control PERDCOMPS.
- Prepare and maintain tax accounts reconciliations (Drive accounting GAAPs between corporate and statutory accounting standards, if any.), in cooperation with central accounting team.
- Cooperate with external provider on annual Corporate Income Tax preparation (e.g. providing the right input data).
- Prepare local books month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting for areas of responsibility including delivering explanations on all balances and ensure follow up on outstanding balances taking corrective action in the following month.
- Issue Invoices (Services, Goods, Import, Transit, Telecom, Commodity).
- Register purchase invoices, review and approve tax invoices.
- Prepare information required for external audit (tax audits) and internal audit as directed.
- Keeping the relationship with RFB, Sefaz and Municipalities.
- Keep the tax clearance certificates updated for bid purposes.
- Participate in company projects with business area, resolving doubts and proposing tax paths and solutions.
Qualifications
- University Degree in Accounting and Finance.
- Professional accounting qualification (e.g. Certified Public Accountant, Association of Chartered Accountants, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, CRC).
- 3-5 years work experience in an accounting environment preferably within a medium to large international company with a matrix business structure.
- Ability to write and speak English (at least B2 level).
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas, etc.).
Nice-to-Have
- Experience using ERP platform (ideally Oracle, TOVTs Protheus).
- Previous experience in Big4.
